Basic elements

Basic module / add-on module

• Monoblock construction
• Acoustic version: hard inner core sandwiched by rigid high-performance sound-absorbing gypsum foam
  or 
• Basic version: honeycomb panel core
• Thickness 38 mm
• Basic module´s top edge cover in anodised aluminium
• Anodised aluminium vertical edge covers for use at the end of a line of elements (optional extra)
• Floor clearance 15 mm; feet adjustable by up to 10 mm
• Basic modules can be positioned as single elements or combined with other add-on modules
• 400 mm-high add-on module for increasing height
• Modules are linked using DECATO clips:
  The basic module can be clipped along its top and sides
  The add-on module can be clipped along any of its edges
• Two types of frame:
  1.   aluminium frame for solid elements
  2.   rectilinear aluminium frame for decorative elements

Basic module / add-on module   in decorative version

• Rectilinear anodised aluminium profile frame with groove for clip linking
• Various panels can inserdet into the frame profile:
  - clear or matt acrylic glazing
  - clear or satin-finish glass
  - silver-coloured grooved aluminium
  - matt-silver coloured aluminium
  - silver-coloured perforated aluminium sheet

Tabletop element

• Aluminium frame
• Core material: rigid gypsum foam or honeycomb panel, thickness 38 mm
• With pin-receptive fleece and fabric covering or perforated aluminium sheet on both sides
• Vertical and top edge covers in anodised aluminium. The element is held in place by brackets attached to the desk

• Magnetic strip/rack that hooks over the top of a module and accepts a variety of storage accessories in various sizes

Linking and assembly

General
DECATO plastic clips are used for linking modules one on top of the other or side-by-side. They are locked together by means of a screw. Linking does not depend on the height nor the number of modules linked together. Where modules are stacked on top of each other, the maximum height allowed is 2000 mm.

DECATO Modul elements can be linked to the DECATO Structure system using a DECATO Structure vertical column and DECATO clips.
Angles

Vertical column, 38 mm square, anodised aluminium: four sides, each with a groove used for clips-linking at 90° angles to form L, T and X shapes.
Stability

One element can be directly clipped at right-angles across the end of another element of the same height.
Cupboard/Wall connection

This is achieved using a steel strip, screwed to a cupboard or wall, to which an element can be clipped.

Environmental and acoustic features

Gypsum foam

Ecological and harmless to health, Preform’s gypsum foam is made from water and gypsum powder, a by-product of exhaust gas desulphurisation. After a polymer is added, a 100% recyclable foam is produced that hardens into any desired shape. As well as its excellent acoustic properties, it contributes considerably to a comfortable indoor climate by its ability to absorb and release moisture from the air. It has a Class B1 fire rating.
