Linking and assembly
General
- Linking does not depend on elements or column heights
- The same clips are used for linear connections, and angled ones using a column
- Positions are locked using a screw introduced from above
Linear linking
- Linking clips are made of non-combustible plastic; using two per side, the clips are inserted on one edge of an element or column and the other element is clipped on
Angled linking
Vertical column, Ø 65 mm, aluminium profile
- seven grooves used for clip-linking
- for fixed/flexible 45o angles with additional variable adjustment +/- 15o, lockable
Vertical column, Ø 50 mm, aluminium profile
- eight grooves in 45o steps used for clip-linking
- for fixed angles of 90o or more
Vertical column, 35 mm square, aluminium profile
- four sides, each with a groove used for clip-linking
- for fixed 90o angles
Brief assembly instructionsBasically, the elements are linked together via their edges (clip connection, 2 pieces each side), or can be held between desks or structural walls. All elements have adjustable feet to compensate for uneven flooring. It is recommended that adjustments be made before the elements are linked.
For stability, a footplate should normally be fitted every second element, and at the end of a run of elements. They should be fitted before the elements are linked.
Straight runs of elements require stabilising at a maximum of every 3 metres, e.g. using a vertical column for creating a 90
o angle.
The vertical columns can be used to create angles:
- Circular vertical column, Ø 65 mm, for combining with Decato Structure at 45o angles with additional variable adjustment +/- 15o
- Circular vertical column, Ø 50 mm, for creating fixed angles of 90o or more
- 35 mm square vertical column, for creating fixed 90o angles only
When using counter-tops, suspended shelves, etc. ensure there is sufficient stability by designing corners into the arrangement, attaching outrigger feet or attaching elements to desks or cupboards.
